If you’ve landed here, you probably know me as a Colorado elopement photographer. Throughout my years of serving so many beautiful couples, I found myself wanting to do more. To provide an even more special and intimate experience for my couples. So, guess what?! I’ve partnered with a few luxury picnic companies to offer you a brand-new, handcrafted service: Intimate Elopement Picnics! It’s simple: you let me know you’re interested in a luxury picnic and I coordinate your experience with local vendors. Keep reading to get the full scoop!
What is an Intimate Elopement Picnic?
To put it simply: an Intimate Elopement Picnic is an opportunity for eloping couples to celebrate tying the knot. Generally, couples who decide to elope are a little more low-key and don’t want to have a big celebration. But at the end of the day, you’re getting MARRIED! That is cause for celebration! You don’t have to do something over-the-top to celebrate this meaningful milestone in your life. This is a way to do something special with just the two of you. And me, of course!
This service is completely done-for-you, meaning you don’t have to lift a finger. I’m not an elopement planner, but I sure as hell know a thing or two! They source everything included, which brings me to…
What does it include?
What does an Intimate Elopement Picnic include? Let’s break it down!
- A table setting for 2
- Your dessert of choice + bottle of champagne (or any drink of choice if champagne is not your thing!)
- Pillows for comfortable seating (don’t worry, they’re cute!)
- Table decor that matches your bouquet/color palette
Is it customizable?
Heck yeah! Here are all the things you can customize about your Intimate Elopement Picnic:
- Color Theme: A lot of aspects go into making your picnic match your bouquet/ideal color palette. In the photos below, do you notice the rust colored table runner, napkins + napkin rings, placemats, & coasters? Those are all customized to the couple’s elopement color palette! They'll personally source fabric that matches your theme if they don’t already have them. Think neutrals and options that add a texture such as jute, whicker, silk, satin, or wood.
- Dessert of choice: Whether you envision cake, cupcakes, bundt cakes (I cannot resist the cake + cream cheese frosting combo from Nothing Bundt Cakes), donuts, cookies, cheesecake, pastries... you name it. If you're not a sweet person, you know I'm all about pizza. Just keep in mind, I can't promise it'll be hot, but TBH, we love cold pizza just as much. Right? Right ;)
Who is an Intimate Elopement Picnic designed for?
This Intimate Elopement Picnic service is perfect for couples who want to add just a little bit more to their elopement experience. Couples who don't want their elopement to be quick 'n’ dirty, but rather slow and intentional. Couples who've maybe considered a big wedding and love the idea of a first meal as newlyweds, but realized the intimate wedding experience was more their jam.
This experience is meant to be intimate, just for you two or choose to include a group of your closest family and friends. Meet your partnered vendors:
Love and Grace Collective: based in Denver serving Denver Metro + beyond.
Mountain Lux: based in Breckenridge serving Summit County + beyond.
What inspired me to offer this partnered service?
I wanted to create an experience further than "I do" for my elopements of two. I've found that right after the ceremony, there's this beautiful moment of excitement, joy, and genuine love— but nowhere to sit and take that in while the sun sets on your wedding day. The Intimate Elopement Picnic is just that. It's an after-ceremony experience to decompress & feel the giddiness of being newlyweds, pop some bubbly, and devour a sweet treat together. Since family and friends won't be there physically, I especially encourage Letters From Family, which I talk about in my What to Pack for Your Elopement Blog. Another tender idea would be to write letters to each other... goals, dreams, bucketlist travel destinations, etc… then read them to one another. It’s truly a time to connect with your partner during those first few special minutes as newlyweds.
What did this couple have to say about their experience?
How did you and Blake feel before, during, and after your day?
”We were completely stress free for our wedding day because Jess literally handled every little detail. All we had to do was show up ready to say “I do”. And after the day was over, we felt so happy, relived and relaxed. It was such a special moment for just us to enjoy on our own before sharing it with the world.”
What was your favorite part?
”Our absolute favorite part was the intimate picnic Jess had coordinated for us after the ceremony. It was such a special moment for us to take in the day and just enjoy the moment.”
If you were to tell a friend about an intimate elopement or big wedding, what would you tell them?
“I absolutely would recommend an intimate elopement. And if someone is on edge about a big wedding and an elopement, I'd say to have that intimate elopement for just the two of you and celebrate with a big reception at a later date with friends and family. Best of both worlds. But having something so special where you don't have to worry about greeting guests and you can just focus on yourself and your significant other is a feeling like none other.”
What three words come to mind when describing your elopement experience?
”Intimate, romantic, & dreamy”
