Breckenridge Mountain Engagement Photos // Mitch & Kelly

Coming in HOT with my all-time favorite mountain engagement photos in my all-time favorite mountain town, Breckenridge, Colorado. These two wanted a completely secluded experience so we met at sunrise on Boreas Pass — one of the many locations I talk about in my Ultimate Guide to Eloping in Breckenridge. Enjoy scrolling this stunning engagement session gallery in the Rocky Mountains with Mitch and Kelly.

3 ideas to make your engagement photos unique

Mitch and Kelly wanted fun and unique engagement photos, so they brought their polaroid camera and made a specific playlist of all their favorite songs for their experience! I always bring my hand-held JBL speaker that clips onto my camera bag so that you two have background music to jam out to — bonus if it’s a playlist you put together! Here’s a my top 3 ideas to make your engagement photos unique:

PACK A meaningful PICNIC

Okay okay hear me out — not only should you pack a little picnic for your engagement session, but you should fill your picnic with items that are meaningful to your relationship! Choose a 6-pack from the brewery you had your first date at, or splurge on a bottle of Veuve since you always get that champagne on special occasions. The key to a mountain picnic engagement session is to pick wisely, so that you images reflect your relationship that much more. Bonus when you book with me: You’re welcome to use my picnic basket! Check out Marisa and Payton’s session for all the inspo on a mountain picnic.

CHOOSE A SPECIAL LOCATION

Why not hand-pick a location that is special to your relationship? If you fell in love in Breckenridge, make an experience out of it. Book a photoshoot in a town that you have happy memories from and spend the weekend there celebrating your love. Romanticize your engagement session and turn it into an occasion that you two will look back on and say, “that was so us!”.

BRING ALL THE PROPS

Thank me later for this one! Having props to give yourselves something to do (other than love on each other and frolic all about), allows you to focus on that rather than the photoshoot aspect. Because after all, we’re human and I can bet you’re not 100% comfortable in front of the camera. Bring items such as a polaroid camera, wide-brim hat, jacket to put over your shoulders, blanket, beverage… the list goes on. Props give your hands placement and give your photos that extra touch! Keep scrolling to see what I mean.
