Loveland Pass Elopement // Becky + Morgan

It's time that I finally share photos from Becky & Morgan's Loveland Pass elopement! Technically they got married last year but wanted to take pictures in their wedding attire in the breathtaking mountains of Colorado. I'm getting ahead of myself, though, because there's so much I want to share with you about my time with Becky & Morgan. Without further ado, let's get into it!

Becky & Morgan's Loveland Pass elopement photos

Taking it back to the beginning of their oh-so-precious love story, B & M met right here in Colorado. Both have a strong passion for the outdoors and even more so for the mountains! This shared love brought them to Colorado individually, where they had no idea their passion for nature would lead them to each other.

Fast forward to when they decided to get married - they knew they wanted their friends and family included. Instead of choosing between including their loved ones and having the mountainous elopement of their dreams, they did both! They had a big wedding in Morgan's hometown in Florida, where all of their people could be there to witness such a momentous occasion. And then, six months later, they went back to where their love story began and took Loveland Pass elopement photos!

A NON-TRADITIONAL OPTION FOR A NON-TRADITIONAL COUPLE

As you can probably tell, Becky & Morgan are anything but traditional. They chose to get ready together for their Loveland Pass elopement and had me document it! This part of the day felt so beautiful and intentional compared to the traditional separation. If you want to spend as much time as possible with your love on your big day, you have free reign to do so! And if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, send them my way ;)

After they got ready, they continued to re-read their vows from their original wedding day. They both agreed that reciting these words just six months into being married was incredibly special. Married life is hardly a walk in the park, but it allows the love for your partner to grow more profound than you could have ever imagined. And it was immediately evident that this was certainly the case for Becky & Morgan.

During their vow reciting, Becky could hardly contain her emotions when Morgan expressed her love for her. She said that at their wedding in Florida, it felt like the nerves completely took over, and she didn't remember a thing she wrote or the vows that Morgan read. So imagine how meaningful it was for just the two of them, surrounded by the Colorado mountains, reciting the words they promised to each other on their original wedding day.

Imagine getting ready with your partner without having to be on a strict timeline, holding hands while walking to your ceremony spot, and declaring your love for each other surrounded by the beauty of the Colorado mountains. Just the two of you (and me!) feeling elated that you chose such a significant location to start the next chapter of your life together. That is what your elopement could look like, regardless of tradition!

And this is why I do what I do

After they recited their vows and we were wrapping up their photos, Morgan said something to me that I will never forget. I'm present for so many extraordinary moments, given that I document them for a living. For most couples, their elopement day is the most important day of their lives thus far. But, for Morgan & Becky, it was remarkable for a different reason than most. She said: "This is special for more than just Becky & I. It shows young girls that this is possible for them, too." As the hair on my arms stood up and I felt goosebumps just about everywhere, I realized that this is why I do what I do. All forms of love are affirmed and celebrated here at Jessica Luann Photo, and if you disagree, you don't belong here, too-da-loo!

At the end of the day, Becky and Morgan's Loveland Pass elopement was one of the most fulfilling experiences I've had the honor of being a part of. Their love for each other absolutely shines through their images, and I hope you can feel a fraction of what I feel looking through them. Just two people in love, in their beautiful gowns, surrounded by alpenglow shining on the mountains, creating literal magic all on their own.
