Boho Garden of the Gods Elopement // Alana & David

Alana & David’s Garden of the Gods elopement was so beyond beautiful! Garden of the Gods is one of my all-time favorite places… I even talked all about it in my Why Colorado is the Best Place to Elope blog. My heart is just so full when I get to document love stories in the most spectacular places in Colorado. To hear all about this elopement, keep on reading!

Alana and David’s Garden of the Gods elopement

If you know anything about me, you know that boho couples have my heart. I’ll photograph your elopement regardless of the theme, but boho vibes just make me feel some type of way! Alana and David were a perfect example of a boho-chic couple. For their Garden of the Gods elopement, Alana did her own hair and makeup, wore Blundstone boots, and couldn’t care less if her dress got dirty. David kept it simple, too, wearing black jeans and a sleek black button-up. Both of them (of course) wore wide-brim hats and the cutest leather boots. They only things they really spent money on was her dress and her florals… that’s it! Who says a budget-friendly elopement can’t be stylish AF?

Moving on from how freaking epic they looked, their love for each other was what really stood out on their day. When I pulled Alana aside to take her solo bridal portraits, David was literally shedding tears looking at her! He kept saying how lucky he was that she chose him, and that she could not have looked more beautiful. Cue MY tears!! It was the sweetest moment ever, and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect couple.

During their vows, I was excited to hear how personalized they were to their relationship. They talked about their mutual love of food, with Alana promising to never forget David’s Chick-Fil-A order (shout out to Chick for bringing couples together) as long as they were married. Their vows were super untraditional and unique to their relationship… exactly how they should be.

Clients that become friends

After their Garden of the Gods elopement, Alana and David decided to live the farm life together as a married couple! They now live on Alana’s family’s farm in PA, raising and caring for goats, cows, chickens, YOU NAME IT! I’m so happy that married life is treating them well, and even more happy that they’ve allowed me to stay a part of it. We’ve stayed friends since I documented their Garden of the Gods elopement; one of the most fulfilling parts about this career. As a photographer, I don’t just take your photos, send ‘em over to you, then say goodbye. Sorry, but it’s gonna take a lot more than that to get rid of me! Some of my best friends were first my clients, traveling all over from CA to CO to PA. I love all of my couples so much and it's an honor to capture their most special day of their lives, but also be part of their lives thereafter.
